Review of the Slot Game “Idol of Fortune”

Despite the popularity of Asian-themed slots, games that take their inspiration from India remain a rarity. The developer ELK built a fantastic slot game, Katmandu Gold, on one of India’s neighbors, so the region has potential. It’s surprising there aren’t more of them selling out quickly, given the size of India and the popularity of online gambling there. Now there’s Idol of Fortune, a slot machine decked out in the vibrant clothing of Indian culture that offers a Wild Prize feature and free spins with mystery symbols from the Swedish game-making masters at Play’n GO.

Of course, not every culture. India has more than a billion residents and, according to some ancient texts, as many as 330 million deities. It would be intriguing to watch someone try to fit all that information into a digital slit. Play’n GO, on the other hand, has singled out Ganesha, the god who is frequently shown with an elephant’s head. Play’n GO has picked Ganesha to represent “wisdom, understanding, and the intellect that someone must possess to attain perfection in life,” however this is only one possible interpretation. Those are some rather big goals, and in Idol of Fortune, Ganesha usually just hangs around behind the game grid or pops in front of it to celebrate a good win. The remaining graphics are accurate reflections of Indian culture or the iGaming equivalent of that culture.

Idol of Fortune is a very volatile slot that may be played on a 5-reel, 3-row, 243-ways game panel; this section received a rating of 7 out of 10. There are, as is customary, numerous possible RTP setups; however, if you’re simply interested in playing the most generous one, you should select the 96.2% configuration. Playable on desktops, mobile devices, and tablets, the Indian-themed slots have a betting range of 10p/c to £/€100 per spin.

Players win when three or more identical symbols appear in consecutive, left-to-right reels, beginning with the leftmost reel. Even the low-paying 10s and A’s have been given a nice Indian-inspired design. For a winning combination of five, they pay out between 0.4 and 0.8 times the wager, whereas the premium mouse (? ), snake, peacock, lion, and elephant symbols pay out between 2 and 10 times the wager. A wild symbol, shown as a fancy door, helps players form winning combinations. Wilds can appear on any reel, replace other symbols, and pay up to ten times the wager for a full screen of them.

Featured Slot Games: Idol of Fortune

Play’n GO may have gone with a somewhat unusual theme, but they’ve matched it with some even more unusual features. This part discusses the Wild Prize feature and the free spins round that includes a mystery symbol.

Bonus Turns

Free games and multipliers of up to 50x the wager are awarded if 3, 4, or 5 scatter symbols appear in view. The bonus games come in six different flavors: 8, 18, 28, 38, or 48 free spins with 8, 18, 28, or 48 mystery symbols on the reels. You may also go for a “lucky dip” feature that combines free and mystery spins in a random fashion.

Only during the bonus rounds may the mysterious symbols emerge on any reel. When they land, they remain in place on the reels and move up or down by one spot in the next spin. When the reel is full, they disappear. Before a win is calculated, mystery symbols always show the same matching pay sign. Note that free spins cannot be won again once they have ended.

Amazing Sweepstakes

On any coin-in, you get a chance at this bonus round. As a result, anything from 1 to 5 reels will turn into a Gold Reel. If a wild lands on a Gold Reel, the player can win a Wild Prize equal to 10, 25, 500, or 5,000 times their wager by choosing coins until three of the same coin type are revealed.

Slot Game Review: Idol of Fortune

Play’n GO is known for making high-quality games, and Idol of Fortune is another excellent example of this. The visuals, soundtrack, gameplay, and statistics are all solid, without being particularly noteworthy. It’s unclear whether or if the studio was specifically inspired by the subject matter, or whether Ganesha was just the first concept that sprang to mind. Despite the fact that there aren’t as many Indian-themed slot machines as there are Chinese or Japanese ones, Idol of Fortune still manages to seem fully professional despite feeling like it should have been better.

Perhaps we came off sounding tougher than we meant to in that evaluation. As previously said, Idol of Fortune has a polished, complete package. The studio feels like it has untapped potential. Imagine you are a teacher with an A+ student who is content to coast on C’s and you want to jolt them out of their complacency. But they think it’s not worth the trouble to go up a grade because, after all, C’s earn degrees and so on. I’m not trying to imply that Idol of Fortune gets by with a C+. After all, you can easily pick up and play it. Even though the functions are useful, they have a familiar feel to them. We have no reason to doubt their propensity to produce staggering payouts, from the 2,500x immediate Wild Prize up to the 10,000x maximum win.

Despite its solid construction, Idol of Fortune is not interesting nor unique enough to leave a lasting impression. Idol of Fortune isn’t a terrible option for those seeking an introduction to Indian culture, since its default numbers are good and the rest works as intended.
